Amidst the ongoing economic challenges faced by many Nigerians following the implementation of economic reforms by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima has offered reassurance that better days lie ahead.
Shettima conveyed this message on Tuesday night during an Iftar event hosted by President Tinubu for members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and service chiefs. He urged all appointees to stand united behind the president in his efforts to steer the nation towards prosperity, emphasizing Tinubu’s sincere intentions for the country and the importance of commitment in leadership.
Highlighting Tinubu’s aversion to blame-shifting, Shettima stressed the need for collective support and sacrifice in tackling the nation’s challenges. He expressed confidence that history would judge Tinubu favorably for his leadership.
“In this season of Ramadan, characterized by forgiveness and generosity, let us unite behind our leader,” Shettima urged. “The president has shown unwavering determination in facing our nation’s daunting challenges. Rest assured, brighter days are ahead, and with God’s grace, we will overcome.”
Representing the Council, Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, thanked President Tinubu for hosting the Iftar and offered prayers for his well-being, hoping for divine intervention in addressing the country’s concerns.
