The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is gearing up to unveil the outcomes of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, is set to address the media in Abuja on Monday, shedding light on the release of the results and related matters. This information was relayed to journalists in the capital city through a notice distributed by the Board’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin, on Sunday.
However, it’s been hinted that the results slated for release on Monday pertain to candidates who took the UTME in its initial days, with the remainder to follow once thorough scrutiny is completed. This step, according to JAMB, aims to ensure the authenticity and reliability of the results, mitigating concerns such as impersonation, biometric discrepancies, and other irregularities.
Over the past week, a staggering 1.9 million candidates participated in the 2024 UTME across more than 700 Computer-Based Test centers nationwide. The examination, which kicked off on Friday, April 19, 2024, is expected to wrap up today.
