Vice President Kashim Shettima departed Abuja on Wednesday for Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, to participate in the opening ceremony of the 2024 International Exhibition of Extractive and Energy Resources (SIREXE).
The event, scheduled from November 27 to December 2 at the Abidjan Exhibition Centre, focuses on policies and strategies for the sustainable development of extractive and energy industries.
According to a statement by Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Shettima attended the event at the invitation of Côte d’Ivoire’s Vice President, Tiémoko Meyliet Koné.
“The VP will leverage the platform to share Nigeria’s insights and experiences in hydrocarbon exploration and production,” Nkwocha noted.
Shettima is expected to return to Abuja later on Wednesday.
