Olasunkanmi Adeyemi, the father of a nine-year-old boy, Emmanuel Adeyemi, has expressed distress over the sudden disappearance of his child in Lagos. Emmanuel went missing during an evangelical outreach in the Orile-Agege area on November 19, plunging the family into agony.
According to Adeyemi, he had taken Emmanuel to a bus with other children for the outreach organized by the church. He left briefly to buy a drink for his son, who was feeling unwell. Upon his return, he discovered that Emmanuel was missing. The driver informed him that a woman had taken some children to another bus, suspecting they were headed to church. Despite checking the church and reporting the incident to the police, Emmanuel’s whereabouts remain unknown.
Adeyemi, devastated by the situation, expressed his desperation to find his son and lamented his own deteriorating health. His wife, traumatized by the incident, had just been discharged from the hospital.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, was unreachable, and no response had been received at the time of reporting. However, a police source confirmed the child’s disappearance and stated that an investigation was underway to determine his whereabouts. The parents have been called to the police headquarters for further interviews. The family anxiously awaits any information that might lead to Emmanuel’s safe return.
