Senator Mark pointed to recent incidents in Plateau State, where numerous citizens were needlessly massacred, as a clear indication that urgent action is required to address the security challenges. He urged the government to consider declaring a state of emergency on security, emphasizing that any steps taken to end the continued killing of citizens would be worthwhile.
Expressing concern over the cheapening of human life in Nigeria, Senator Mark called on the government and security agencies to intensify efforts in ensuring the safety and security of citizens. He also advocated for collaboration between the federal government and subnational governments to address the prevailing security issues.
In particular, Senator Mark extended his condolences to the government and people of Plateau State and called for vigilance and cooperation between residents and security operatives to prevent the recurrence of such tragic events.
