The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced a 40% increase in the cash prize money for the upcoming 2023 TotalEnergies African Cup of Nations (AFCON). The winner of the tournament will now receive $7 million, while the runner-up will get $4 million. The semi-finalists will each receive $2.5 million, and the four quarter-finalists will be awarded $1.3 million each.
