A housewife in Delta State has successfully delivered a set of quadruplets through a Caesarean Section in a private hospital in Effurun. However, she is presently stranded in the hospital due to the family’s inability to settle the medical bill of N4 million, which has accumulated over a 12-year delay.
In an open letter titled ‘A Call for Urgent Help!’, issued on behalf of the family by Comrade Derrick Oritsematosan Agberen, the National Coordinator of No Justice, No Peace Initiative, it was revealed that Mrs. Gladys Okodo Omodiagbe, a member of the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), located along Water Resources in Effurun, gave birth to the quadruplets, who were placed in an incubator since October 21, 2023.
The letter explained that the quadruplets were delivered prematurely, and since then, they have been in the incubator. The cost of keeping the babies in the incubator amounts to N20,000 per child per day, totaling N80,000 for the four babies.
Agberen appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to come to the aid of the mother and her quadruplets, urging support to enable the family to settle the medical bills incurred during the delivery and the ongoing care of the babies in the incubator.
