Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has attributed the rising incidents of kidnappings and insecurity in Nigeria to abject poverty and hunger. In a statement posted on his official Twitter handle on Tuesday, Atiku expressed concern over the distressing levels of violence in the country, particularly in the federal capital, Abuja.
Atiku pointed out that the worsening poverty and hunger in the nation are contributing to the escalation of kidnapping and insecurity.
