A Nigerian resident abroad, identified as Kayode Oladipo, has accused Revolution Plus Real Estate and its Managing Director, Bamidele Onalaja, of scamming him over N40 million. Oladipo alleges that he paid the money in 2017 for the purchase of 20 plots of land, but the company has not allocated any land to him. In a distressing video that went viral, Oladipo called on the Nigerian government to intervene, threatening suicide and claiming to be sleeping outside in the snow with no home to return to in Nigeria.
In response, Revolution Plus Properties released a press statement on Instagram, refuting the allegations. The company stated that Oladipo owed outstanding balances for purchased plots and highlighted discrepancies in his narration of the transaction. According to the statement, Oladipo bought 5 plots in Royalty Garden, Idasho, and 5 plots in Dallas Court during promotional packages, but he defaulted on payments, leaving significant outstanding balances.
The company clarified that Oladipo paid a total of N16,752,000 and not N40,000,000, as claimed. Revolution Plus Properties insisted that Oladipo still owes the company N9,358,000. The statement also revealed that Oladipo signed a contract specifying full payment as a condition for land allocation.
Revolution Plus Properties expressed disappointment over false information being spread on social media to tarnish the company’s image. The company intends to take legal action against Oladipo and urged customers to disregard the allegations made in his video. The statement aims to set the record straight and defend the company against the accusations made by Oladipo.
