In a strategic move to enhance security in Plateau State, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has officially commissioned 34 Hilux vehicles to reinforce community vigilance. The vehicles were procured through collaborative efforts of the 17 Local Government Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen, with the aim of deploying security personnel across the Local Government Areas.
During the commissioning ceremony, held at the Old Government House in Rayfield, Jos, Governor Mutfwang reiterated his administration’s commitment to fortifying the security of lives and property, with a particular focus on rural communities in the state. He emphasized the paramount importance of security as the foundation for meaningful development and assured citizens of additional measures to support security agencies in effectively executing their duties statewide.
The Governor expressed gratitude to the Local Government Chairmen for pooling resources to enhance the well-being of the citizens, encouraging them to intensify their efforts in the best interest of the people. The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ephraim Usman, presented the security vehicles to the Governor, stating that the gesture aimed to assist security personnel in responding promptly to security challenges within their respective Local Government Areas.
