Renowned Nigerian musician, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2baba, has officially ended his long-standing partnership with his manager, Efe Omorogbe, the CEO of talent management company Now Muzik. The announcement came through a joint statement posted on Now Muzik’s Instagram on Wednesday, citing a mutual agreement for the immediate termination of their professional collaboration.
Expressing gratitude for the years of collaboration, Omorogbe acknowledged the trust and friendship shared with 2baba, emphasizing the pride in the brands they built together and the music they created. He stated, “2Baba is one of the greatest Nigerian musicians of all time, and it really is an honor to have had the opportunity to walk side by side with him, watching and helping him make magic over the past two decades.”
Looking ahead, Omorogbe assured ongoing support for 2baba from the sidelines, pledging to continue advocating for the artist. He reflected on their significant achievements, declaring pride in the major milestones achieved during their collaboration, which contributed to the growth of the entertainment industry in Africa.
In response, 2baba recognized Omorogbe’s pivotal role in his career and expressed gratitude for the support provided by Now Muzik. Acknowledging that all good things must come to an end, he stated, “I know it’s a cliche, but every good thing must come to an end. I owe a lot of my career success to Efe and his team at Now Muzik.”
Having joined Now Muzik management in 2004 after leaving The Plantashun Boiz, 2baba will now be represented by his new management company, Hypertek Digital. The announcement marks a significant transition in the artist’s professional journey.
