Omowunmi, the widow of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad, has raised an alarm concerning ongoing threats directed towards her and her son Liam, whom she had with the late singer.
In a series of emotional Instagram posts, Omowunmi urged Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, to obtain a court order for a Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) test for her son Liam. She expressed her distress, highlighting the similarity between the threats she faces now and those encountered by Mohbad before his untimely passing.
Addressing Nigerians, Omowunmi pleaded for assistance, stating that she and Liam are vulnerable to daily threats and have been stripped of their freedom. She questioned the motives behind Joseph Aloba’s insistence on a DNA test, especially considering his initial excitement over her pregnancy, which he claimed was divinely inspired.
Despite her willingness to undergo the DNA test upon presentation of a court order, Omowunmi remained resolute in her determination to protect her son. She recounted instances of threats on her life and Liam’s, lamenting the loss of their freedom and the unjust treatment they endure.
In a heartfelt plea to fellow Nigerians, Omowunmi called for support in safeguarding Liam’s well-being, emphasizing her commitment to fighting for him despite the risks involved. She urged Joseph Aloba to obtain the necessary court order for the DNA test and appealed to the public to stand by her and her son during this challenging time.
