The late Prof. Joseph Odemuyiwa, former Senior Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Vocational and Technical Education, has tragically passed away. Prof. Odemuyiwa, a distinguished Professor of Business Education renowned for his dedication to imparting vocational skills, reportedly lost his life on Tuesday in a road accident while en route to Ibadan.
The sad news was confirmed by Dickson Awolaja, the representative for Remo North State Constituency, who hails from Isara Remo, the same hometown as the late professor. Awolaja expressed his sorrow, stating, “I just received confirmation from a friend not long ago. Prof. was said to be traveling to Ibadan when the accident occurred. This is a heartbreaking loss.”
Prof. Odemuyiwa, aged 66, had a distinguished career as a lecturer at both Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, and Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, both of which are state-owned institutions. His untimely demise is a significant loss to the academic community and the vocational education sector.
