The Rivers State Police Command has apprehended a 30-year-old man named Jeffrey for allegedly sexually assaulting the teenage daughter of his landlady in an estate located in Abuloma, Port Harcourt Local Government Area.
According to reports, Jeffrey, who operates a tailoring shop within the estate, purportedly deceived the 13-year-old girl into visiting his shop one evening by promising to show her clothing items. However, instead of fulfilling this innocent pretext, Jeffrey allegedly locked the shop and proceeded to sexually assault the girl.
The incident came to light when the teenage girl confided in her mother about the ordeal, leading to Jeffrey’s arrest by officers from the Trans-Amadi Police Division last Friday. A source familiar with the matter revealed that a medical examination conducted on the minor confirmed the assault.
