The reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, attributed his return to divine predestination, emphasizing during Friday prayers at the Kofar Kudu Central Mosque in Kano that everything unfolds according to God’s will and is beyond human questioning.
Sanusi II urged individuals to maintain steadfast faith, acknowledging that both favorable and challenging circumstances are part of God’s plan. He stressed the importance of accepting Allah’s decree wholeheartedly without questioning, stating that gratitude should be expressed regardless of the situation.
Reflecting on the upcoming Zhul Hijja, a sacred month in Islam, Sanusi II encouraged devout observance of supplications, highlighting its spiritual significance.
Governor Abba Yusuf reinstated Sanusi II as the 16th Emir of Kano, citing his competence, credibility, and popularity. Sanusi had previously served as the 14th Emir but was deposed in 2020 amid disagreements with the former state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, who currently serves as the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
