Twenty-five students from Ajayi Crowther University in Oyo State faced charges in connection to the tragic death of fellow student Alex Timileyin, who was fatally beaten for allegedly stealing a mobile phone. Timileyin was assaulted inside Shepherd Inn hostel on campus, enduring a prolonged attack from Friday evening until Saturday morning. The activist, a relative of the deceased, had petitioned Governor Seyi Makinde for justice.
