Kylian Mbappe was formally introduced as a Real Madrid player in Madrid on Tuesday. The French striker, having completed his medical earlier that morning, signed a five-year contract and received the No. 9 shirt from club president Florentino Perez.
Addressing thousands of fans gathered at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Mbappe exclaimed in Spanish, “Wow!” He continued, expressing his joy: “For years, I’ve dreamed of playing for Real Madrid, and today my dream has come true.” The 25-year-old, formerly with Paris Saint-Germain, emphasized his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m a happy boy. I’m going to give my all for this club.”
While his new teammates began training on Monday, Mbappe, who captained France during the Euros, will enjoy a few additional days off before beginning his season in the Spanish capital.
