In a shocking and tragic incident, Aribemchukwu, the daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, was found dead in Lagos. Known affectionately as Chuchu, she was reportedly killed at her residence in Parkview Estate, Ikoyi, on Wednesday morning.
A family member, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the situation, revealed that Aribemchukwu was killed the previous night. Her body was discovered outside the gate of her home the following morning.
“It appears that the newly hired household staff may be responsible and tried to make it look like she was outside when it happened,” the source said. “There are signs of an attempt to clean up blood inside the house and the compound. The staff had been employed for less than a month, and she was alone in the house with them. We all need to be extremely careful, especially with new hires.”
Confirming the incident to Envision News Online, Lagos State Command spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin stated that the body had been recovered and three suspects were arrested in connection to Aribemchukwu’s death. “Our officers have arrested three people in connection with the murder of Justice Ajumogobia’s daughter at her residence in Parkview Estate. The suspects include a driver and two maids. We are investigating and will provide further updates to the public as the investigation progresses,” Hundeyin said.
Before her untimely death, Aribemchukwu was a doctor and had recently married.
