As of 9:45 am on Thursday, no protesters have been seen at the Moshood Abiola International Stadium in Abeokuta, the designated venue for the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria demonstration in Ogun State.
On Wednesday, the Ogun State High Court issued an order limiting the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protests to four specific locations within the state, with a restricted timeframe from 8 am to 5 pm.
The designated locations are the MKO Stadium in Abeokuta, Ansar-ud-Deen Comprehensive High School in Ota, Remo Divisional High School in Sagamu, and Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode.
This morning, a visit to the stadium revealed a heavy security presence but no protesters. Police and other security officers, along with soldiers stationed strategically across the state capital, were visible, aiming to prevent any potential breakdown of law and order.
Our correspondent also observed that banks in Abeokuta remained closed and vehicular traffic was notably sparse.
