The national electricity grid experienced another collapse on Monday, causing blackouts in various parts of Nigeria. An official from the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), who confirmed the incident under the condition of anonymity, described it as a partial collapse.
The TCN official mentioned that efforts are underway to gradually restore power. According to observations, total power generation on the grid dropped to zero at 1:33 pm on Monday.
This latest collapse highlights ongoing challenges in the country’s power infrastructure, affecting millions of Nigerians who rely on the national grid for electricity.
