Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, wife of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has passed away. The sad news was announced by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Ini Ememobong, in a statement released in the early hours of Friday.
According to the statement, Mrs. Patience Eno died on September 26, 2024, at a hospital, surrounded by her family. The statement, titled “Unexpected Sunset,” expressed the family’s deep sorrow over the loss and their submission to the will of God.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Her Excellency, Pastor Mrs. Patience Umo Eno, following an illness. She passed away peacefully at the hospital on 26th September 2024, in the presence of her family,” the statement read.
The family expressed their gratitude for the support and prayers they have received and requested privacy during this difficult time. Governor Umo Eno assured the people of Akwa Ibom that, despite this profound personal loss, his commitment to serving the state remains steadfast.
