Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has denied all charges in connection with an alleged N110 billion fraud. Appearing before Justice Maryanne Anenih at the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, Bello pleaded not guilty to the 16-count indictment filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Bello’s arraignment marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the alleged embezzlement of funds during his tenure as governor. The EFCC had declared him wanted earlier in April 2024 in connection with the fraud investigation.
