The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially affirmed former National Youth Leader, Sunday Ude-Okoye, as the party’s National Secretary.
BoT Chairman and former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara, made the announcement during the 80th trustees’ meeting in Abuja.
This decision aligns with the stance of PDP governors, led by Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, who on January 31 endorsed the Court of Appeal’s judgment and urged the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to implement it.
The governors also distanced themselves from Senator Samuel Anyanwu and reaffirmed Ude-Okoye as National Secretary at a meeting in Asaba, Delta State.
Wabara explained that the BoT’s resolution followed a thorough review of all related documents and issues presented by both Ude-Okoye and Anyanwu.
