Shock and uncertainty have gripped the Nasarawa State Police Command following the tragic death of a police constable, Dogara Akolo Moses, who allegedly took his own life under mysterious circumstances.
Moses, who had been seen carrying out his routine duties at the Mada Station Division in Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area on Tuesday, February 4, was later found dead in one of the offices, having reportedly shot himself. No suicide note was discovered, leaving colleagues and sympathizers puzzled about the motive behind his actions.
According to an eyewitness, the tragic event unfolded when Moses entered a private room and fired the fatal shot. The sound of gunfire alerted officers on duty, who rushed to the scene only to find him lying lifeless in a pool of blood, his weapon beside him.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, stated that investigations were underway to determine the circumstances surrounding Moses’ untimely death. He assured that the command was committed to uncovering the truth behind the heartbreaking incident.
