The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has indefinitely postponed its scheduled meetings for February 2025.
FAAC Secretary, Ali Mohammed, announced the development in a statement released on Thursday, citing an earlier notice issued on February 14, 2025.
“Further to our earlier notice referenced F.12090/T/68, I am directed to inform you that the meetings of the Federation Account Allocation Committee for the month of February 2025 have been postponed,” Mohammed stated in a letter addressed to FAAC members.
He added that a new date would be communicated in due course, and the previous communiqué issued on the matter would be reviewed accordingly.
“The Ministry regrets any inconvenience the postponement may have caused and conveys the Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy’s highest regards,” the statement concluded.
FAAC is responsible for the distribution of revenue among the federal, state, and local governments, and the postponement may impact budgetary planning for the month. No official reason was provided for the delay.
