The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a further reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, by N65.00 per litre.
This latest adjustment lowers the price from N890 to N825 per litre, effective Thursday, February 27, 2025, according to a statement released by the refinery.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery stated that the price cut is aimed at easing financial pressure on Nigerians, particularly in preparation for the Ramadan season.
“The reduction in the ex-depot price of petrol is part of our commitment to supporting Nigerians during this crucial period. This move also aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery agenda, which seeks to reduce the financial burden on the populace,” the statement read.
The refinery emphasized its continued efforts to lower fuel prices, noting that this marks the second petrol price reduction in February 2025, following a previous N60.00 cut earlier in the month.
As a result of this latest decrease, Dangote petrol will be available at partner retail outlets at the following rates:
- Lagos: N860 per litre
- South-West: N870 per litre
- North: N880 per litre
- South-South & South-East: N890 per litre
This follows a previous price drop in December 2024, when PMS was reduced by N70.50 from N970 to N899.50 per litre.
With this strategic reduction, Dangote Petroleum Refinery continues to play a key role in shaping Nigeria’s energy market and providing relief to consumers.
