The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has confirmed that the registration deadline for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) remains March 8, 2025, with no plans for an extension.
JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin made the announcement on Tuesday, emphasizing that the deadline had been widely publicized in advertisements and the official UTME calendar.
“We wish to inform all prospective candidates that there will be no extension of the registration period,” the statement read.
The exam body revealed that over 1.5 million candidates have already registered, aligning with its projections for the 2025 examination cycle.
JAMB also urged candidates to register promptly, warning against last-minute rushes.
“The board’s calendar is fixed, with numerous scheduled activities after registration, including examinations, results processing, and admissions exercises. Extending the deadline would disrupt not only JAMB’s plans but also those of partner agencies,” the statement added.
