Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola has lamented over the state of things in the Nigerian movie industry.
Bimbo in a interview noted that the Nollywood industry has shifted its focus from actual content to physical appearance. She also stated that most actors now go above and beyond to enhance their bodies, rather than being focused and improving their talent.
“Now, people are saying, ‘My makeup isn’t right for this, and I can’t wear this.’ Is that what the film is about? We are more concerned about our outfits and how we look. This is why, generally, there is a spark in BBL. It is now about looks and not content or what one has. Looks will fade no matter what you do,“ she stated.
