Deputy Chaplain, Catholic Women Organisation of Abuja Archdiocese (CWOAA), Rev. Fr Victor Ogunyemi has urged women under the umbrella of the Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria (CWON), to embrace a “MAD” mindset, where MAD stands for Making A Difference.
He gave the admonition in a homily, he delivered during the 1st Annual Quarterly Meeting hosted by the Abuja Archdiocese.
Drawing from the Gospel Reading of the day about the Tax Collector, who became a disciple of Jesus, Fr Ogunyemi emphasized the transformative power of encountering Jesus.
He likened the call of Jesus to leave behind sinful ways to contemporary challenges, urging listeners to reject corruption, immorality, and gossip.
The Priest highlighted the importance of avoiding occasions of sin and utilizing the Sacrament of Reconciliation to stay on the path of righteousness.
He encouraged the congregation to remember that their vocation as children of God is to make a difference in the world, despite the challenges and temptations they may face.
He then prayed for the congregation’s strength and courage to live out their faith boldly, reminding them that by embracing their vocation, they too can make a significant impact, just as Levi did.
