Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized President Bola Tinubu’s awareness of Nigeria’s challenges and his commitment to taking responsibility rather than apportioning blame. Speaking at the book launch titled “Beating all Odds: Diaries and Essays on how Bola Tinubu became President” by Sam Omatseye, Shettima commended Tinubu’s courage and conviction in addressing national issues.
Shettima assured Nigerians that Tinubu has the nation’s interests at heart and reiterated the government’s stance of acknowledging challenges and seeking solutions without indulging in blame games. He highlighted Tinubu’s decisive actions upon assuming office, including the withdrawal of fuel subsidy and the collapse of the multiple exchange rate regime, which he described as pivotal steps toward economic stability.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio, represented by Dr. Monday Ubani, lauded the qualities of President Tinubu outlined in the book and called for unified support from Nigerians and all arms of government. Akpabio emphasized the importance of backing the President as he navigates governance, expressing confidence that with collective effort and perseverance, the nation will overcome its challenges and achieve its goals under Tinubu’s leadership.
The event, graced by notable figures including former Governor Olusegun Osoba, Minister Nyesom Wike, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, and former Governor James Ibori, underscored the significance of effective leadership and collaboration in steering Nigeria towards progress and prosperity.
