The Federal Government has officially declared Wednesday, May 1, 2024, as a public holiday in honor of Workers’ Day. The announcement came through a press statement released by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Aishetu Ndayako, on Tuesday.
In the statement, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, conveyed the declaration, emphasizing the significance of excellence, efficiency, and fairness in labor practices. Tunji-Ojo reiterated the commitment of President Bola Tinubu’s administration to promoting innovation, productivity, and inclusivity in workplaces across the country.
