President Bola Tinubu has affirmed his unwavering commitment to fairness for all Nigerians, emphasizing his administration’s dedication to fostering national unity and ensuring the welfare and prosperity of every citizen.
Addressing the congregation at the Ansar-Ud-Deen Central Mosque in Surulere, Lagos, on a Friday, President Tinubu spoke of the economic reforms initiated by his government. These reforms, he noted, aim to establish a robust and secure foundation for both present and future generations of Nigerians.
During the Jumaat prayers commemorating the centennial anniversary of the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS), the President praised the society for its commendable service to humanity, contributions to the dissemination of Islamic principles, and efforts in uplifting the less privileged.
Encouraging the society members to steadfastly pursue their goals of advancing education and promoting the moral and social development of the Muslim community, Tinubu reiterated his commitment to the welfare of all citizens. While on a brief Christmas holiday in Lagos, he highlighted recent measures, such as the 50 percent reduction in inter-state land transportation fares nationwide and the settlement of N-Power beneficiaries’ backlog of allowances, as steps taken to ease the burden on Nigerians during the festive season. He assured the public of more initiatives to come in the New Year.
“We are committed to creating a better society for our citizens, irrespective of ethnic, religious, or geographical differences. The policies already in place are expected to bring significant relief to our people. We understand their challenges, and we are addressing them comprehensively,” Tinubu declared.
Reflecting on the enduring success of Ansar-Ud-Deen over 100 years, Tinubu commended the society’s strategic planning and steadfast adherence to its mission and vision, emphasizing the transformative power of focused planning in society.
Expressing gratitude to the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society for their support during elections, President Tinubu underscored the importance of their backing as a motivating force for his government’s unwavering commitment to delivering good governance to the people.
“I appreciate the Ansar-Ud-Deen Society for its support during the elections. I do not take it for granted; rather, the support serves as a stimulus for us in government to remain focused,” he stated.
