The Kaduna State Police Command has made another significant arrest, capturing a suspect identified as Zahradeenee Suleiman with 30 different fabricated master keys used for vehicles and motorcycles. ASP Mansir Hassan, the spokesperson for the command, confirmed the arrest to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Kaduna.
According to Hassan, the arrest followed a distress call received by police personnel around 02:30 hrs on July 20 reporting a burglary at a shop. Officers swiftly responded to the scene where they apprehended Zahradeenee Suleiman inside the shop. Suleiman, aged 35 and residing in Galma Road, Tsugugi area of Sabon Gari Zaria Local Government Area, was found in possession of various sizes of keys, including two locally fabricated master keys.
Hassan disclosed that Suleiman is known for specializing in the theft of vehicles and motorcycles. The recovered items will be crucial evidence as the investigation continues, with plans to charge Suleiman to court upon completion of the investigation.
This arrest is part of the Kaduna State Police Command’s ongoing efforts to curb vehicle and motorcycle theft, following several other notable arrests of car theft suspects in recent months.
