The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) is yet to commence.
In a statement shared on its official X account on Wednesday, JAMB assured candidates that the registration details would be announced soon. The board also urged prospective candidates to start their preparations by securing a National Identification Number (NIN) and a unique phone number for the registration process.
“You can get your NIN ahead and a phone number that has not been previously used to register on our platform to generate your profile code prior to the time,” the statement advised.
As part of its updates, JAMB revealed The Lekki Headmaster by Kabir Alabi Garba as the recommended novel for the 2025 UTME Use of English. The announcement read, “Attention prospective 2025 UTME candidates! This is to inform you that The Lekki Headmaster by Kabir Alabi Garba has been approved as the reading text for the Use of English.”
JAMB encouraged candidates to familiarize themselves with the text to enhance their preparation and reiterated its commitment to releasing the registration timeline and guidelines in due course.
Additionally, the board directed its staff to update their profiles or register afresh as part of preparations for the examination, emphasizing strict compliance with protocols to ensure a seamless process.
