SAKA BOLAJI, MINNA
It was an exciting moments for five (5) tailoring cooperative groups in Niger State as they received the Adashi Loan of N200, 000 each from the state Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner in-charge of the ministry, Hon (Mrs.) Elizabeth Lami Shaba, advised beneficiaries to remain honest and ensure timely repayment of the loan.
She stressed that doing so would give them greater access to future opportunities, including grants.
The Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Helen Umaru William, who also emphasised the importance of sincerity and prompt repayment, noted that it would sustain the Ministry’s support for cooperatives.
On his part, the DG (SME), Mr. Ahmed Shau’bu Gwada, commended the initiative of the state Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, who introduced the Adashi Loan Programme.
He encouraged the cooperative groups to continue supporting the Governor, describing him as a leader who genuinely cares for his people by creating jobs and opportunities for economic empowerment.
